Quilting At The Library

Have your ever checked your local library for quilting books? We are fortunate to have a wide variety of quilting books, magazines and even DVD's at our local library. Now don't expect me to start a Kaffe Fassett or Paula Nadelstern quilt any time soon, but leafing through quilt books and dreaming about future projects is a great way to spend an evening!

Going to the library is how I got started in quilting. I put quilt books on request and got like 27 of them at once. And thanks for your help yesterday.

How great that your library has such nice quilt books. I love browsing through books for ideas and inspiration...even if I don't make those particular quilts.

I never thought to check for quilt magazines, but my library has quite a few quilting books that I have never seen. I check them out from time to time -- it's been awhile, thanks for the reminder!

Looks like you picked up some lovely eye candy. I love Kaffe's sense of colour.

I love checking out quilting books from the library. I never thought of quilting DVDs though! I'm going to check that out!

I was just thinking about the library the other day and thought it's been awhile since I last checked to see what new quilting books they had. My library has a website, so I can order them on-line and they call me when they are ready for pick-up. I like that!

Don't forget about the talking books at the library too. I read/listen while I quilt.

I love my library and use it often for quilt books! Sometimes I have to have my own copy of a quilt book but at least I get to peruse it first before purchasing.
