Practice, Practice, Practice

Don't think that this is a fancy quilt top. It's just a piece of Christmas cheater cloth that I am practicing my free motion stitching on. Meandering is coming easier now, so my next practice piece may be a real quilt!

Good luck with the FMQ. I need to practice, practice, practice too! Great idea to use some cheater cloth.

That's a great way to practice. I did the same when I started.

Good idea to practic on something like that. You will be meandering all over the place before you know it. LOL

We all need to start somewhere. My hat is off to you for trying the free motion. I have not gotten that brave yet!

Love practice cloths! We did a lot of charity quilts a couple of years ago, and I used them for practice on my free motion. Can't say that I improved very much, but it was good for practicing.
