It's turning out that my Red, White, and True quilt isn't all that true, because I took some liberties with the layout. After the rows were sewn together I flipped one row end for end and moved it to the right to see what it would look like. I liked the look, so decided to sew it! (Hopefully not following the pattern exactly won't count against me.)

Red, White, and True?
It's turning out that my Red, White, and True quilt isn't all that true, because I took some liberties with the layout. After the rows were sewn together I flipped one row end for end and moved it to the right to see what it would look like. I liked the look, so decided to sew it! Lucky Winner!
As you know, I've been quilting along with Jean this month in the Red, White, and True Quilt Along. Jean had a giveaway (sponsored by Fabric Spark) associated with the quilt along and I was the lucky winner! Just look at the beautiful fat quarter bundle that arrived in my mailbox from Fabric Spark...aren't they amazing fabrics? I'm going to have to do some thinking about how to use these large prints. I don't think I want to cut them!
If you're a Facebook user, be sure to like Fabric Spark...they are hosting the Summer of Fabric Love with giveaways and other surprises all summer long. Right now they have a great charm pack of "Net" by Riley Blake up for grabs!

All Caught Up!
Thankfully the Red, White, and True Quilt Along has quick steps each week! It made it very easy for me to catch up with the rest of the group! Even if you haven't started yet, you could still join in and not be very far behind!

What's One More Quilt Along?
Is there such a thing as too many projects? I don't think so! When I found out that my friend, Jean, from Jean's Quilting Page was having a Red, White and True Quilt Along, I just had to join in. Not only is it the perfect quilt to work on in July, but it will make a fabulous quilt to donate to Lap Robes for Veterans once it is finished! Sounds like a win for everyone!
