More Border Ideas
Here are a couple more border ideas for my Dear Jane quilt. The top photo shows a 2 inch harlequin border and in the smaller photo is a 1 1/2 inch sawtooth border. I'm not sure that I have a preference to either (except that the harlequin border goes together a lot faster than making all of those tiny half square triangles for the sawtooth border) so I would like to hear your opinions and suggestions!

Hi Susan,
I really like the Harlequin, a lot calmer to look at, just my humble opinion of course.
Thanks for leaving a comment on the Buderim Patchwork blog, how impressive, 2nd comment. Thanks for the Birthday Wishes, we are all pretty excited about it over here.
Hope you win a prize.
Andrea
Tough call, but I think I like the second one best. It seems more in line with the block size to me.
I love the diamonds!!!!
I like the first one!!
I like the sawtooth one over the squares on point. However, if the squares on point had neutral on the outside & prints in the squares, I think that would be my favourite!

I like the Harlequin best. I think the squares and the regularity compliments the quilt somehow. Being easier is a nice bonus, too.
Hia Susuan gosh I had a lot to catch up on here. 1st a congratulations on the centre of your Dear Jane quilt. It looks so good. The colours your've chosen work so well together. I like the harlequin border best out of all the ones you've shown. It doesn't dominate yet the size and design suit the blocks.
Wow tough decision, but I do think I like the harlequin.
Not sure! I think the diamonds, which I prefer as a design, are a little dense and attract my eye. THere's just so much more concentrated color there than in the design. Could you lighten it a bit? It's so hard to tell from photos!
I like the Harlequin. It then becomes more of a closed colour/border if you know what I mean. Just love what you are doing :-)
Cheers
Lynne
My favorite is the narrow strip of the braid from the prior post best. I must say that they're all so pretty. I can't wait to see what you pick and a picture of the whole quilt!
I think I like the second one the best ,which ever you choose I'm sure it will look wonderful .
I really like Harlequin, it seems like a nice balance to your DJs! But having said this...I would love if you would do a tutorial of the *braided* border in the previous "choice" list :>)!! The *braided* border is really unique to me, and I would love to know how to do it! Have a great rest of the week!
I agree with Jackie, I like the narrow diagonal strip from your first post...the harlequin second. Whichever you do I think will be wonderful.
Harlequin border!!!
I like the sawtooth border best - lighter, more in scale with the blocks, less demanding on the viewer to NOTICE ME ... just adds a LOT to the overall quilt!
