Snippet Basket

Isn't this a cute little basket? A friend of mine had one that she was using to put her "snippets" into at our last stitching get together and she was kind enough to show me how she made it, so I could make one for myself. I was surprised at how easy it was to make and how quickly it went together. It honestly took me longer to decide what fabrics to use than it did to make the basket. Not only does it make a great snippet basket, but wouldn't it be great to hold candy, jewelry or cosmetics? Maybe a larger one to be used as a bread basket? Oh, the possibilities are endless!

What a very versatile project. Would be great for so many things - mail, keys/wallet, etc, leggos, small toys etc. I really love the fabric you selected!
