Fabric Origami

I stumbled across this origami purse tutorial at Quiltcetera not long ago and fell in love with it instantly! The actual pattern is for a little drawstring purse, but it can easily be converted into any size bag or basket. All you need is two squares of fabric and a few minutes of stitching time and you will end up with a wonderful little bag!

I can't believe it is as easy as you say! Looks great. I'll bet it was fun too.

Hi Susan!
I like the fabric you used for your origami bag, it looks like you pieced all those wee squares together. :) My favorite way to do the origami bag is 40 inches by 40 inches and leave out the drawstring plus add a shoulder strap. It's becomes an awesome tote! Thank you for sharing pictures of your origami bag.
