Starry Night!

It's hard to believe that you could cut up a poster into squares, ask 24 very different quilters to replicate each piece in fabric and get something in return that looks even remotely like the original, but look at how well our pieces look together!  It really does look like van Gogh's Starry Night! There is still one block to be finished and then the piece will be sewn together and quilted.  I can't wait to see it once it's finished!

I'm loving that! The mosaic block on the left is a fun take. This was a fun activity. I can tell. Will you all be drawing from the participants for a winner? or will you be auctioning it off?

This is so awesome! I have to talk some people into trying it. I love it. I can see your piece down in the corner. I can see that using a painting like this is so much better than using a picture, more chance to use texture and different techniques. Who gets it after it is put together?
