This year I took the time to hand knit a little something for members of my family for Christmas. What fun it was to watch everyone open their gifts, but the real reward came when my niece tried on the fingerless gloves that I made for her and then sweetly ask if there was anyway that I could make her a hat to match. Seriously? A 20 year-old college student really wants her aunt to knit her a hat? How could I say no?

Oh I don't blame you....I'd be making one too. I think it is wonderful when young people appreciate hand made gifts. My girls always have and I love that.
