Chocolate Pretzel Rings

There just doesn't seem to be enough time in a day to get everything done that needs to be done before the holidays.  There's the decorating, the shopping, the wrapping, and then the baking,  How's a girl to get it all done and still have time for quilting?  Thankfully there are these little chocolate pretzels that only take three ingredients and only minutes to make...easy peasy and time leftover to quilt!

Chocolate Pretzel Rings

1 package pretzel wheels
1 package milk chocolate or white chocolate wafers
1 package M&M's

Place the pretzels on foil lined baking sheets; place a chocolate wafer in the center of each ring. Bake at 275 degrees F for 1-2 minutes or until chocolate is softened. Remove from the oven. Place an M&M on each, pressing down slightly so chocolate fills the ring. Refrigerate for 5-10 minutes or until chocolate is firm. Store at room temperature.

my sister does them with Rolos & pretzels-those are good too!

I've done these and sometimes my chocolate parts come away from the pretzels after they are cooled...so....I am left with no choice but to eat the chocolate all by itself. YUMMMMM....

We make these with Rollo's too and sometimes use pecan halves instead of M&M's. It' super quick but still "homemade". The white choco wafers look good!

Another nice variation! I do the Rolo/pecan ones too in the micro. Sure I could do these the same way....

We call these Santa's Bellybutton.

A woman came to our quilt retreat with these last year. She used only yellow M&M's so that they would look like an egg on a pretzel. She called them our breakfast!

Just to let you know I couldn't pass up trying these pretzels.
Since there are three adults in the house - didn't use the m & m's on the last whole bag of treats. Let me tell you the Wilton light cocoa chocolate on the little pretzels, was out of this world. You can't just eat 3 or 4 or 5. Keep those delicious recipes coming. Oh, have to get more pretzels, almost finished this last patch (bag). Happy New Year
