Quilty Love

This is how the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center looked at the start of the day yesterday.  There was so much quilty love in the room that even the lights were getting in on the act!  It was great fun hanging all the quilts and seeing the Mountain Laurel 2012 Quilt Exhibit come alive right before our eyes.  Now to sit back and wait for opening night!

The Opening Reception is Friday, September 7, at 7:00 and then the exhibit is open daily (2:00 -5:00) through September 30 at the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania.

I am so excited for you, Susan, and as the daughter of a wonderful father who has Alzheimers I thank you so much for organizing this section :)
I adore your entry and love the story behind it's name as it is so perfect, and as soon as I saw it I smiled and also thought of the ripple effect that this disease has on the family and friends of the patient, as well. What a perfect name.
Your quilt is gorgeous and I am just awed by how you ever made the ripple effect within it, not to mention the gorgeous colors! Did you know that purple is the "color of ALZ.org?" Brilliant!
PS, just a tidbit to add...the flower for ALZ.org is forget me knots...isn't that cool? :)
Thanks and I love ya
I can't wait to hear all about it, and maybe a pic or two after? Keep us all posted!

The befores and the afters are SO much fun. If you've never helped or been a part of, quilters truly do need to see the effort involved. Very exciting and best of luck with the show!
