Thanksgiving Giveaway

Thanksgiving is by far my most favorite holiday of the year.  A day to celebrate all of the blessings that we have and the people that we love.  With a son in the military, it's a rare occasion to have the whole family together, so this year I am thankful to have all of our children and grandchildren here at home with us!
Thanksgiving is also about sharing, so in keeping with the spirit of the holiday I am giving away nine vintage sheet fat quarters similar to the prints used in the Jelly Roll Quilt that I recently completed.  Simply leave a comment below telling me what you are thankful for this Thanksgiving to enter.  The winner will be selected by Random Number Generator and announced on Monday, November 28.

Comments are now closed!
Congratulations to the winner, stitchinpenny!

Yes Thanksgiving is a time for family. That is what I am most thankful for. Especially for having a sweet hubby, and three great children. And living in a country where we are free to celebrate. Wishing you and yours a Happy and blessed Thanksgiving.

Thanks for the giveaway. I'm thankful for family. My husband is military also, and has been gone for 3 months. We won't get to see him for Thanksgiving, but he'll be able to visit at Christmas for 2 weeks! I'm grateful to be able to have the means to bring him home to celebrate Christmas with us.

I am very thankful for my sister bringing quilting into my life in 1992. She died in 2003 of cancer at the young age of 53. She was a very good quilter when I started and she took beginning classes with me just to get me going. I am so grateful to her. She took me to retreats, taught me how to quilt, showed me all the tricks to making blocks and how to hand bind the correct way. I miss her terribly. My mom also died of cancer when I was 26 and my sister took over the role of being a mother figure to me. She was wonderful in every way. I have tears in my eyes right now as I'm writing this. But I'm sure you can see why I am go grateful for my sister, Carol Ann Kaiser.

I am so thankful for three good friends I lost in the past three months. These friends were so dear to me and I am thankful I told them so while they were yet alive.

There is so much to be thankful for! If I had to pick just one thing, it would be my baby granddaughter. She is such a joy... Embodies hope.

Being perfectly honest, there is so much to be thankful for but each morning, I try to remember first off to be thankful that I'm being given another day, and after that it's all frosting!!! Happy for you that your son is with you and hope you have a fabulous time together. And would love to win those fat quarter vintage sheets, so thanks for a chance.
