And The Winners Are...

And the winner of the Learn to Quilt with Scraps class is...

#12 Sherry said...

I love scrap quilts. I love using any of the "old standards", like Shoo Fly, Bow Tie, Dresden Plate, etc. but with a lot of different fabrics.

Thank you for this giveaway.

And the winner of the Learn to Make Pineapple Quilts class is...

#33 Linda Atkins said...
I would love to know how to use all my scraps. I have oodles of triangles, squares and rectangles that are a stash all their own. I use them to design my own quilts. My grandchildren are each getting one for Christmas and now I am working on a wedding gift, a play on lights and darks. They have been labors of love and so much fun seeing them evolve.

Thanks to everyone who visited Hanging On by a Needle and Thread and took the time to comment.  I truly enjoyed reading each and every one of your comments!  If you didn't win and had your heart set on taking one of these online classes you can enroll anytime at www.anniescatalog.com/

Giveaway!

The nice folks at Annie's have given me not one, but TWO online classes to giveaway!  That's right, one person will win the Learn to Quilt with Scraps class and another will win the Learn to Make Pineapple Quilts class!

The Learn to Quilt with Scraps class is the class that I have been working through the last couple of weeks.  The class comes with three scrap quilt patterns along with tips for cutting and containing your scraps and valuable information on how to put colors together in your scrap quilts.

Preview the Learn to Quilt with Scraps class by clicking HERE.

I was fortunate to see Gyleen demonstrate her method for making the pineapple block in person a couple of years ago.  There really is no easier way to make this block!  This class also includes patterns for three quilts!

Preview the Learn to Make Pineapple Quilts by clicking HERE.

Here's how to enter...
Simply leave a comment here under this post!  I would love to know what your favorite scrap quilt pattern is! (one entry)

For one extra entry, help spread the word!  Share about this giveaway on your blog, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc. and come back here and leave a comment telling me that you shared. (optional extra entry)

The giveaway will close Monday, April 18th at 8:00 p.m. EST.  The winner will be drawn by Random Number Generator and announced on Tuesday, April 19th.

*NOTE* The winner will be notified by email, so make sure that I will be able to contact you through Blogger or leave your e-mail address with your comment.

Lucky Winner!

As you know, I've been quilting along with Jean this month in the Red, White, and True Quilt Along.  Jean had a giveaway (sponsored by Fabric Spark) associated with the quilt along and I was the lucky winner!  Just look at the beautiful fat quarter bundle that arrived in my mailbox from Fabric Spark...aren't they amazing fabrics?  I'm going to have to do some thinking about how to use these large prints.  I don't think I want to cut them!

If you're a Facebook user, be sure to like Fabric Spark...they are hosting the Summer of Fabric Love with giveaways and other surprises all summer long.  Right now they have a great charm pack of "Net" by Riley Blake up for grabs!

Lucky Streak!

I must be on a lucky streak, because I won another giveaway!  This lot came from Marsha at Quilter in Motion as part of the AMB Blog Tour.  I am so excited about these new American Made Brand (Yes, as in MADE IN AMERICA...farm to fabric all grown and made right here in the USA!) cotton solid fabrics!  I'm even more thrilled to have a charm pack with a wide assortment of the colors that AMB has to offer!  My first thought was to stitch these right up into a modern quilt, but first I think I will take them down to my local quilt shop with a little sales pitch about how nice it would be to have American made fabrics for sale in our quilt shops!  (Honestly though, the first thing I did after taking the photo was to open up the maple candy and read through the travel brochures!  My trip to Vermont is all planned....now I just need to convince my husband that we need a vacation!)

Winner!

My friend, Terry, from Terry's Treasures had a giveaway last week in an effort to find new homes for some of her creations and I was the lucky winner of this sweet puppy print table topper.  Terry even wrapped it in a pretty teal fat quarter!  I do believe that she is serious about cleaning out and making room for new fabric and quilts, because she's even offering some of her larger quilts up for sale at ridiculously low prices.  Visit her blog at terrytreasures.blogspot.com to see what she has in the bargain bin.

What A Surprise!

Last month I sent a quilt to Gene Black - Alabama Artist for his Quilt Angels project.  I never expected anything in return, but right before Christmas I got an email from Gene saying that I had won a jelly roll from Sew Fun Quilts!  What a surprise! I didn't realize that there was a giveaway that went along with donating a quilt.  Judy at Sew Fun Quilts has some beautiful die cut jelly rolls to choose from, but as soon as I saw the red and white, I knew I had to have it!  I gave away a red white and black quilt to charity and I have always missed that quilt.  I think it's time to make another, but don't be surprised if this one ends up going to charity too!

Sew, Mama, Sew! Giveaway Day!

Meet Cupcake, an adorable little hedgehog from Half Pint Knits!  Cupcake is a well mannered hedgehog and would never dream of poking anyone with her quills, but her eyes and nose may not be suitable for very young children.  Cupcake loves her sweets, so I made a cupcake print mug rug for her to help keep the crumbs off of your table top.  Would you like to give Cupcake a home?  Just leave a comment below telling me what your favorite sweet treat is.

The giveaway will close Friday, May 10th at 8:00 p.m. EST.  The winner will be drawn by Random Number Generator and announced on Saturday, May 11th.  The winner will be notified by email, so if you are a no-reply blogger make sure that you leave your e-mail address with your comment.

Sew, Mama, Sew! Giveaway Day!

Meet Miss Holly, an adorable little hedgehog from Half Pint Knits!  Miss Holly is a well mannered hedgehog and would never dream of poking anyone with her quills, but her eyes and nose may not be suitable for very young children.  Miss Holly loves winter, but she is easily chilled, so she is all bundled up in her favorite red wool scarf!  She also comes with a cozy quilt, which could also serve as a mug rug, but watch Miss Holly around your hot cocoa...she's been known to take more than just a sip while no one is looking!   Would you like to give Miss Holly a home?  Just leave a comment below telling me how you keep warm when the weather is cold.

The giveaway will close Friday, December 7 at 8:00 p.m. EST.  The winner will be drawn by Random Number Generator and announced on Saturday, December 8th .  The winner will be notified by email, so if you are a no-reply blogger make sure that you leave your e-mail address with your comment.

Lucky For Me

Last month Needled Mom held a giveaway as part of the Blog Hop Party with Giveaways.  Of course I put my name in for the draw, but another winner was chosen.  Lucky for me, the winner never claimed her prize* and Mary drew my name as the alternate winner!  The book, Jelly Roll Quilts, arrived in the mail yesterday. It is full of wonderful quilt patterns that all use 2 1/2" strips!  Another good reason to start cutting my scraps a la Bonnie Hunter.

*If you enter blog giveaways and don't ever seem to win, you may want to make sure that you are not a "no reply" blogger.  Find out how to change your Blogger email settings HERE.

Winner

I entered a few different giveaways during the Sew, Mama, Sew! Giveaway Day(s) and I was lucky enough to win the one that I was really hoping to win!  The question to enter the giveaway at Raggie Girls was, "What is the one quilt on your bucket list?"  The quilt that I have always wanted to make, but haven't yet, is a kaleidoscope quilt and the assortment of books and patterns that I won has not one, but two great kaleidoscope quilt patterns!  I guess I don't have any more excuses for not making a kaleidoscope quilt!

Sew, Mama, Sew! Giveaway Day!

Giveaway #2
Meet Miss Petunia, an adorable green and purple hedgehog from Half Pint Knits!  Miss Petunia is a well mannered hedgehog and would never dream of poking anyone with her quills, but her eyes and nose may not be suitable for very young children.  Miss Petunia is a tiny little gal (5 inches long and 3 inches tall) and she loves to take long naps, so she comes along with her very own matching quilted nap mat that I made especially for her.  Would you like to give Miss Petunia a home?  Just leave a comment below telling me what kind of knitted critter would make a good friend for a lonely little hedgehog.

I'll draw a winner on Saturday, May 26 using the Random Number Generator.  The winner will be notified by email, so if you are a no-reply blogger make sure that you leave your e-mail address with your comment.
