No Slip Tip
I have been cutting lots and lots of triangles for the online summer camp that Gyleen Fitzgerald is doing. I was having trouble with my new ruler slipping and thought I was going to have to make a trip to the LQS for some non-skid dots. Then I got the idea to try a piece of painters tape on the back side of the ruler. It worked perfectly! It gives the ruler just enough grip to keep it from slipping and it's paper thin, so it doesn't raise the ruler off the fabric like the dots do. As an extra bonus, it made it easier to see which end of the ruler I was using too.

ReplyDeleteVery clever. I'll have to remember this. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea. I have that clear backing on my rulers for slipping and love it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the tip! Perfect!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great idea!!
ReplyDeleteGreat tip. I use the clear tablecloth vinyl on the backs of rulers...you can cut whatever size you want and it is see through.
