Bindings
I've been doing some binding lately...lots and lots of binding! The Mountain Laurel Quilt Guild made the blocks for these Project Linus quilts in February for Project Linus Make a Blanket Day. Tops were assembled by volunteers and then a couple of guild members with longarm quilting machines volunteered to do the quilting. My plan was to ask guild members to help with the bindings too, but binding is my favorite part of making a quilt and the stack of unfinished Linus quilts that I just picked up from the quilter was too tempting. I put the binding on one, and then another and another and before I knew it the whole stack was done! These quilts are now on their way to children in need via Project Linus.

I love binding too. That is too funny. I like it because it is the "saying goodbye" phase....it will be done and then on it's way to someone.

Lovely photo of a job well done!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of binding. I always enjoy doing that too.
ReplyDeleteI like bindings, too--not much can go wrong at that point, not a lot of decisions to make, just meditative stitching. But thanks for doing all those bindings, Susan!
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing.....I have several quilts that need bindings for some time now...ya wanna come over...
ReplyDeleteWow Susan good job !!
ReplyDeleteMom loves to do the bindings too , When I am with her I put the binding on and she will do the hand work , if I am not there she does all of them herself, sometimes she does binding for others.
That's going to be a bunch of happy children !
I am impressed!I don't hate bindings, but seem to procrastinate on getting them finished. Very pretty pile of quilts.
