It Needs More Red

I was showing my husband the Twisted Happy Blocks quilt the other day and he said that it was nice, but it needed something, "like more red around the outside". I told him that I intended to put a red binding on it, but he insisted that it needed more. My husband doesn't usually say much about the quilts that I make, so I figured I better take his advice or I'll never hear more than "that's nice" about one of my quilts again!

  1. I can't imagine my husband having an opinion of one of my quilts. That's too funny. It looks good with the reds.

  3. I think he was right! It looks good! So now that you've added the red, are you going to do a black binding?

  5. The red border makes the whole thing pop, and I especially like that it's pieced with a variety of reds. Very cool!

  13. Having seen the 'before' photo down below, I think he's right. The extra red sashing sets of the rest.
