I had a little trip into template from a book piecing at Christmas, but got very frustrated with one which when the pizza slices were sewn together, were more than 360c circle. I ended up fiddling around so it wouldn't look like a rolling sea.

Good on you for telling others about this flaw.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5541488844616624304.post-83834465594799386482009-02-21T15:57:00.000-05:002009-02-21T15:57:00.000-05:00Carol Miller teaches a class at Quilt University c...Carol Miller teaches a class at Quilt University called "Jane Must Be Crazy!" She has adapted the Dear Jane blocks to more standard sizes. I think purists won't go for it, but for people who like the look and want to keep their sanity, it's a good idea. It must really be frustrating to use software that has errors.jovaliquiltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04658198685121310571noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5541488844616624304.post-47161791924838239882009-02-18T21:26:00.000-05:002009-02-18T21:26:00.000-05:00Interesting observation from both you and Anya. It is good that you and Anya are both seasoned quilters or that could be very discouraging to deal with the errors! Perhaps some have become frustrated and pushed the whole DJ project to the side...to become another UFO!Barbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07033748957386956585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5541488844616624304.post-31355087936192778692009-02-18T09:14:00.000-05:002009-02-18T09:14:00.000-05:00I agree..both the book and the software desperatel...I agree..both the book and the software desperately need a version 2.0!Anyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18130352307824344517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5541488844616624304.post-9497203286205355302009-02-17T13:25:00.000-05:002009-02-17T13:25:00.000-05:00I'm working from the book and have come across two...I'm working from the book and have come across two blocks, so far, that Brenda has altered from the original. I caught the first one before I made it, but pieced the second one before I realized she changed it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5541488844616624304.post-12504106594747608712009-02-17T08:06:00.000-05:002009-02-17T08:06:00.000-05:00thanks for the heads up...I too have on occassion ...thanks for the heads up...I too have on occassion found mistakes in patterns.
