Spring To Finish
Jacquie at Tallgrass Prairie Studio is having a Spring to Finish Challenge. The rules are simple, you decide what you want to work on and then do your best to achieve your goal before the end of May. Jacquie said that just writing the words "spring to finish" gave her the kick in the pants she needed to get motivated. After a week of absolutely no progress on my UFO's, I'm hoping that this challenge will help motivate me too. I would like to say that I am going to finish all of my UFO's by the end of May, but that is probably a bit ambitious, so how about if I say that I will do my best to put a big dent in the pile?

I have tried posting about projects I want to get finished-sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you on really denting the UFO's.
It's such a great feeling to finish; I don't really 'get' why we all seem to have trouble with this...a universal quilting mystery.
Well I am rooting for ya!! I am trying to also do this but no way will they all be finished by May 31..;-)!
ReplyDeleteI am making some more do-able though by giving them a new role...like a smaller quilt instead of a big one or use what is already done for a runner! Yes playing games with myself! Ha ha!
Whatever works!
hugs,
Lola
I have a big pile too. I think it would take me the rest of my life to finish them all! Bad me! I look forward to seeing your finished things though! xxoo
ReplyDeleteGood luck in achieving your UFO goals. I have this fatal obstacle of not staying focused... I'm not sure why because in every other aspect of my life, I'm very goal oriented and it is rare that I don't reach the milestones I set. Must be a mental block. LOL
ReplyDeleteI love that blue fabric in your picture. Absolutely beautiful!
Hmmmm, I'm thinking it would take until May 2020 for me to finish my UFOs. My goal is to start sewing one of the four quilts I cut out last month....hmmmmm, that may be an ambitious goal.
ReplyDeleteI'll cheer you on, it doesn't matter how many you get done. My motto is anything above zero is good. The blue fabric is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteYou go girl ~ "Spring to Finish" is a good goal to strive for, repeat it often...and I know you can do it! Have a great weekend!
